I've developed a PDF file and a laminated copy of excerpted rules for bicyclists and motorists after being abused as a pedestrian on the sidewalk by bicyclists and on the road while on my bicycle by motorists.
I thought about stopping the abusers and handing them a copy of the rules: Now I think that just may exacerbate the problems and cause me to be physically abused.
It seems that the Sebastopol Police Explorer group could consider "policing" the sidewalks occasionally and handing out the laminated cards to those who may benefit from the information.
If anyone is interested in being involved as a citizen rep for the Countywide Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee, please see the attached document. This would be a good way for our group to be a bit more involved and aware of the the countywide issue. They meet once every two months, so it's not too much of a commitment.

Currently called Synergy, it is located next door to Community Bikes at 4019 Sebastopol Road, which is exactly 4 miles from downtown Sebastopol and 4 miles from downtown Santa Rosa.
Directions: Take Highway 12 to Fulton/Wright Rd south. Turn left onto Sebastopol Road, go about one block and then look for 4019 on the left. Please carpool and bring friends. Drop passengers and goods off and then park on street one block east. Thanks!
